Frequently Asked Questions

  • We have a car park at the rear of the restaurant, which is accessible through the archway just past the restaurant frontage, there are about 8-10 spaces, and it is on a first come first served basis. If there is no room in our car park, there is a public car park round the corner next to the tennis courts on Middle Way, as well as sometimes spaces on the road, but these are few and far between.

  • We do not allow dogs inside our restaurant (only guide and assistance dogs will be permitted). During the summer months when our terrace is open, we are dog friendly outside on the terrace. During the autumn & winter months, we only serve drinks on the terrace as we have no heating - food is only served outside in the Spring Summer months.

  • We do not reserve tables in our terrace area and operate a first come first serve basis in order to avoid disappointment. However, you can book a table in the main restaurant and we will add notes that you would like a seat on the terrace outside and we endeavour to give you a table.

  • You won’t be able to book a table for more than 6 people online, as we are a small restaurant and all tables of 7 or more, are large tables to us, so we ask that you please contact the restaurant directly to book either by phone or email.

  • We have disabled access from the front of the restaurant and a disabled toilet downstairs.

  • We offer a limited menu and, while we have several delicious vegetarian dishes, we do not currently have any fully vegan options available as standard. However, with advance notice on your booking, our kitchen would be happy to create a vegan dish for you. We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to accommodate this.

  • If you would like to bring your own wine, this is not a problem at all! If you let us know on your booking, then we can help with chilling if needed. We charge £25 per standard bottle of still wine and £30 per standard bottle of sparkling wine.

  • If you would like to bring a celebration cake to your reservation, we are happy to help, but please give us advance notice on your booking. If your table is having dessert with us there is no charge, but if you are just having your cake instead, then we will charge £5 per person to serve.

  • We don’t accept Amex, but we do accept all other major credit cards.

We are now a cashless restaurant, meaning that we don’t hold cash. If you want to pay in cash, we will accept, however we would not be able to give any change as we don’t hold cash.

  • We do do private hire, please contact privatedining@pompetterestaurant.co.uk for qall enquiries.
