After some delicious freshly baked madeleines &a hot drink, Illy will familiarise you with new calligraphy tools – yours to keep! – before teaching you the basics of her craft.

Are you ready to take your lettering to the next level?
I have created a fabulous new workshop where I will show you how to master simple flourishing techniques to add embellishment and flair to your lettering.
Some basic understanding of calligraphy lettering is required. This workshop is aimed at anyone with prior experience of calligraphy writing.
It's hands on and practical, with lots of one-to-one support offered throughout, to take your creative lettering to new heights.
The 2 hours workshop will include:
Warm up exercises with a specific focus on flourish shaping
Practice flourishing alphabet letters
Learn how to connect letters and simple words with your flourishes
Mastering basic layouts and adding details to your words and phrases
As part of the workshop you'll receive the below, which will be yours to keep!
A small tipped brush pen
Calligraphy guide cards
A dotty Rhodia practice pad
A selection of festive stationery items to use with your final project

If you book more than one ticket - let us know the full names of all attendants.
If you decide to book a table with us for lunch on the same day, we will apply a 10% discount.

Get ready to add a touch of elegance to your holiday gifting. This is an introduction to modern flourishing, where you’ll master simple techniques to add embellishment and flair to your lettering.
This workshop is aimed at anyone with prior experience of calligraphy writing.
To add to the festive theme of Christmas, we will create essential stationery items needed to decorate festive dinner tables and gifts for under your tree. It's hands on and practical, with lots of one-to-one support offered throughout, to take your creative lettering to new heights.
